I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Verifying the prerequisites for endpoint monitoring
Before we can start endpoint monitoring data collection, we need to make sure all the prerequisites listed in the Getting ready section have been satisfied:
- Verify that the Guest Introspection Services is installed, up, and running by navigating to vSphere Web Client | Home | Networking & Security | Installation | Service Deployments. Refer to Chapter 6, Configuring VMware NSX Distributed Firewall (DFW) and SpoofGuard, for information on how to deploy Guest Introspection Services:
- Verify that VMware Tools is installed in the guest VM and that the guest VM is part of a security group membership. ...
