I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
DFW Rule ID and Logs
Whenever a new DFW rule is created, a unique system-generated ID called rule ID will be created. The rule ID column is not visible by default; to display the rule ID as an additional column, scroll to the end of the firewall configuration menu (minimize the Navigator menu if required). Click the table icon on top of the last column header and tick the Rule ID checkbox:
The rule ID is unique and therefore can be referenced in DFW logs for analysis, and is not reused if a rule is deleted. Rule ID is very useful to figure out which rule is allowed or blocked in DFW logs. All DFW rules that are set to the log will be logged ...
