vCenter Server

The vCenter logs may also be needed for monitoring and troubleshooting. For example, NSX relies on EAM to do host preparation, and, EAM log is accessible in vCenter Server. It is recommended that you use the same syslog server for vCenter Server and NSX Manager to get a complete picture of the overall environment logs. The eam.log in vCenter Server can be located in ProgramData/VMware/VMware VirtualCenter/Logs/ for Windows-based vCenter or /storage/log/vmware/vpx/eam.log for appliance-based vCenter Server. The other location for vCenter log files is listed in VMware KB's Location of vCenter Server log files (1021804) at https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1021804.
