3.2 Effect of Color Variables on Visual Texture
It was investigated if there is any difference between neutral Gray and
chromatic color in each visual texture descriptor using paired t-test. The results
were presented in Table 3 in which among visual texture descriptors, ‘warm’,
‘thick’, and ‘stiff’ were found to be differently felt between Gray and chromatic on
fabrics. As for ‘warm’, fabrics in Gray seemed to be rated to be lower than those in
chromatic did. On the contrary, chromatic color was thought to give an effect on
getting higher rates for ‘warm’ in terms of visual texture so that the colored fabrics
