Synopsis
Use HYPGEOMDIST to find the probability of the specified number of successes (hypergeometrical distribution) based upon the specified sample size, population successes, and population size.
To Calculate
=HYPGEOMDIST(Sample_S,Number_Sample,Population_S,Number_Population)
All arguments are required for this function. If the value specified for an argument is not an integer value, it is truncated by the function.

Sample_S Indicates the number of successes you expect for the sample.

Number_Sample Indicates the number of items in the sample.

Population_S Indicates the number of successes within the population.

Number_Population Specifies a number that indicates the size of the population.
Example
Figure 15-22 illustrates the probability of a child getting exactly 2 yellow Easter eggs if there are 20 eggs hidden and 15 are pink and the other 5 are yellow. The child is told to find 10 eggs.
