Playtesting
Once we have a prototype, we can then begin the playtesting process. Playtest as soon as possible in your development, and do it often. As soon as you have something playable, get people in front of it. First play the game yourself and see how you feel about it. Then invite some friends over to your house and have them play it as well.
Oftentimes, I find my students have difficulty at first actually doing playtests and may be hesitant to show people their projects as it's not ready yet or because they won't get it. Or they know that their project isn't finished so they think they know what they should be working on already, so there's no need to do playtesting.
