To see firsthand the advantages of working through a system, a look around should suffice—the evidence is everywhere. A Hollywood movie set is a great place to see it in action, although it’s pretty difficult to get access when a shoot is in progress. Many of the "names" behind a movie—famous actors, famous directors, famous producers—will require "no guest" sets as a way to protect their limited privacy. (I probably managed to get onto so many sets simply because I told the executives that I had no specific interest in rubbing shoulders with Jim Carrey, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Anniston, Shia LaBeouf, or Ben Affleck, fine people though I’m sure they were.)
