Call sheets describe what the movie crew is going to work on for each particular day: the scenes to shoot, the actors needed, the props, and so forth. The production manager issues call sheets at the end of the day to be applied to the next day. This way all members of the crew understand what will be accomplished next, and what role they’ll play in making that happen. Taken into an IT shop, this practice could be read as Lesson 11: Manage through incremental progress targets.
