The Management Report Structure

There is no one correct structure for an initial report to management. Most initial reports include:

Description of the survey, its objectives, its dimension, number and types of questions, and demographics of those taking the survey

Graphs or tables of each dimension for all employees and for major demographic groupings

Commentary on dimension reports

Graphs or tables of specific questions that differ significantly from past surveys, dimension results from all employees, and/or very negative or neutral responses (Generally, we consider negative or neutral responses above 20 percent as significant for inclusion.)

Commentary on individual questions

Comparisons with previous survey results or comparisons with external ...
