The two crucial ingredients to making such a meeting a success are the use of department demographics and supervisor training.
Obviously, the survey results cannot be reported by department unless such demographic identification is included as an element of the survey. This requires the decision to include such information to be made in advance of constructing the survey.
There is one caution, and that relates to departments with very few employees. Earlier we suggested that demographic information should not be collected for small departments.
