Applet Clients

Applets are components that are embedded in HTML pages, and so they are run from inside a browser. The WAS Application Clients CD will install files required for the applet to interact with WAS, as well as a configuration utility. Figure 14-13 shows this utility, which is installed in the Windows Control Panel by the WAS Application Clients CD for managing WAS applets. Notice the setting that allows the applet to find the standard WAS properties files. As of this writing, WAS applet clients are supported only on the Windows platform.
