Ideally, the person chosen will possess certain characteristics:

◾ Thorough knowledge of the organization being assessed

◾ Good interpersonal and communication skills

◾ Project management ability

◾ Familiarity with the assessment model and methodology

The most important qualification is an interest in the process and the

opportunity to improve the organization. The organizational level of the per-

son selected is less important than the ability to generate interest and sustain

involvement among diverse staff groups.
