Taxes often are not fair. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization. I am involved in local government in the small town where I live in Connecticut. You quickly learn the things you can change and the things you can’t.

There is very little you can do about property tax. About 80 percent of this tax funds education. The primary education expense is teacher’s salaries. If you want to educate the kids, you need teachers, and you cannot put forty kids in a class, because education will not take place. So when the number of kids increases, as is the case with Generation Y—the biggest generation in the history of our nation—taxes will increase also.
