If you took you heart rate while reading this book, then you have a pretty good estimate of its lower bound. But the best way to get your true resting heart rate is to take your pulse first thing in the morning before even getting out of bed. Set a reminder on your phone and do it tomorrow morning. A normal range is between sixty and ninety beats per minute (BPM)—you should see a doctor if it’s any higher than 100 BPM.
