I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Last year I attended a software conference in Helsinki, Finland. Finland is a beautiful country with a fantastic culture, but it was a little depressing that the midday sun never rose higher than the buildings. Finland is located along the arctic circle, so the sun doesn’t even rise at all on some winter days. Conversely, there are summer days when it doesn’t set. People tell me you get used to these extremes, but it must take a few millennia.
