Playing Well with Others

“Why do I run? It makes my brain work better,” says Xavier Shay. “It feels freaking incredible. The massive endorphin rush just puts you on top of the world. When you’re finished with a run in the morning, you’ve already won the day no matter what else happens.” Despite this powerful endorsement of running and Xavier’s years of experience, he still needs to find ways of motivating himself.

“My training is better when I run with other people,” Xavier explains. “The social thing is huge. That’s one of the main reasons I run with the group.”
