I hope you wouldn’t go into any negotiation without knowing what your bottom line is. You can’t turn a profit on this deal if the price drops below a certain level, or there’s no way your kids are going to bed later than 9pm, or you have two evenings a week to give to the football club and that’s it. You can’t be confident you’ll come out of the discussion successfully unless you know what constitutes success.
