Since I wrote the first edition of this book, the internet has permeated many aspects of our lives. It’s a playground, a shopping mall, the best library in the world and the quickest (and cheapest) way of obtaining and sending information that I know. E-commerce, the use of the internet in business, has well and truly come of age and it’s still evolving. Very soon you will be able to drive to a new town and ask your tablet or smart phone something like ‘Who needs a personnel manager in this area?’.
