How to prepare for their questions: ‘Tell me about yourself’ … and others

You can’t know what is going to be asked but you can improve your chances by practising some common questions – ideally with a friend. As I said earlier in the chapter, the most common question you are likely to face is ‘Tell me about yourself’. This is ranked as the interviewer’s favourite question. If you answer it well you’ll create a good first impression, which should put you in a positive frame of mind for the rest of the interview.
