It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing the Android Developer Tools Plug-in on Windows
The ADT is a plug-in for the Eclipse IDE that allows you to quickly get started on your Android application development. The ADT uses the tools you installed as part of the Android SDK, but it makes it a lot easier to develop within the Eclipse IDE.
