Running Your Android Project
You can test and run your application right away without testing it directly on a phone. You do this by creating an Android Virtual Device (AVD) in the Android Virtual Device Manager. A virtual device is a simulation of a real phone; the AVD runs on the Android emulator that comes with the Android tools. The emulator provides an environment specific to virtual devices in which you can install and run Android applications. You can even specify unique hardware characteristics such as the SD card size, screen size, and the hardware features of the device.
