Creating an Android Application
Your Hello World Android application will illustrate many of the basic principles of the framework. You will test this application using the ADT and actually create a virtual device for testing. Then you’ll begin creating the more complicated On Your Bike application in Chapter 4.
Follow these steps to build an Android application project in your Eclipse IDE.
1. Start the Eclipse IDE, and choose the learningandroid workspace that you created in Chapter 2.
2. Select New > Project from the File menu.
3. Expand the Android node, and select Android Application Project. You may need to select Other to see the Android wizards.
4. Click Next.
