It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding Screen Sizes and Densities
Android devices come in a wide range of screen sizes and screen densities. Screen resolutions range from a small 240 × 320 on devices like the Samsung Pocket, to a huge 2560 × 1600 on the Google Nexus 10. Screens also have different pixel densities depending on how big or how small each physical pixel is.
For simplicity, screen size and densities are classified into groups by the Android OS.
Screen sizes are grouped into these categories.
Small: About two to three inches, and at least 420 dp × 320 dp.
