So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Testing GPS in a Virtual Device
It’s possible to test your application in a virtual device by using the Emulator Control view in Eclipse, as you’ll do in this section. Before performing the following steps, be sure to select an emulator in the Devices view to enable input in the Emulator Control view.
1. Open the Emulator Control view by selecting Window > Show View > Other and selecting Emulator Control. Press OK.
2. Run the application, and navigate to the maps activity. You will see the location being logged (see Figure 7.2). At a latitude of 37.422006 and a longitude of –122.084095 are the Google offices in Mountain View, California.
