I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating a destroy rule
A destroy rule works only on data stored in the archive tables. It cannot be implemented directly on target tables, such as booking request or incident:
- To create a destroy rule, navigate to System Archiving | Archive Destroy Rules, and click on the New button.
- Fill in the form with the following values:
- * Name: Destroy Older Booking Requests
- * Table: Archive Booking Request
- Archive Duration:
Days: 365
- Click on the Submit button to create the destroy rule. The data is kept in the archive table for the amount of time specified in the Archive Duration field in the destroy rule after which the records are permanently deleted from the archive table:
