Use this to identify the internal and external stakeholders that may be affected by the decisions you make and to identify how to keep them on side.
Making a decision is often the easy part. Selling it to sceptical stakeholders and implementing it successfully is often much more difficult. Gerry Johnson, Kevan Scholes and Richard Whittington’s Stakeholders’ Mapping Model can be used to identify possible road blocks to implementation. Using the stakeholders’ level of interest in the decision and the power/influence they have to disrupt the decision they were able to divide stakeholders into four groups.
