Creating and configuring VHDs

To create a VHD in Windows Server 2019 using Hyper-V Manager, complete the following steps: 

1. Click the Start button, and then, in the Start menu, click Windows Administrative Tools.

2. In the Windows Administrative Tools window, click the Hyper-V Manager hyperlink.
3. In the Hyper-V Manager window, click New, and then click Hard Disk... from the Actions pane, as shown in Figure 8.5:

4. Click Next in the Before You Begin option of the New Virtual Hard Disk Wizard.
5. Select the format that you want to use for the virtual hard disk, and then click Next.
