It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding UNC
UNC, originally used in Unix, is a standard to identify a share in a computer network. Its format (see Figure 5.15) uses double backslashes to precede the name of the server, for example, \\servername\folder:
