So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding logs and alerts
As you know, performance monitoring activities are continuous. As such, it requires dedication and patience from system administrators. However, before that, it requires us to recognize the importance of the performance monitoring process as a way of maintaining the server's continuous work. To achieve this, the correct tools must be used. For this reason, tools such as logs and alerts play an important role in that process. While logs are useful for detailed analysis and archiving of records, alerts enable you to be vigilant about the performance and configuration of the servers.
