spectral cube without spectral or spatial scanning. SE–SI sys-
tems exhibit several distinct advantages over scanning devices,
including fast acquisition of accurately registered images, high
device robustness and reliability, low cost, automation, simplic-
ity of operation, etc. On the other hand, however, current tech-
nological limitations set a trade-o between the spatial and the
spectral resolution that can be captured simultaneously with SE
devices. e current level of development of SE systems allows
