paradigm, where problem-solving components are described as individual
agents pursuing high-level goals. Because agents are independent and pro-
active entities, the system built from such multiple components becomes
modular and structured when compared to conventional systems, as denoted
in Figure 10.2 (Sajja, 2007).
All agents, because they are part of a system under consideration, need
to communicate with each other using special tools like Knowledge Query
and Manipulation Language (KQML).
