Mac OS X is a developer’s dream come true. On the Unix side, you have access to all the standard programming languages you’d expect to find, such as C/C++, Java, Perl, Python, and Ruby. Mac developers who have installed Apple’s Xcode Tools have access to utilities such as Xcode and Interface Builder for building native applications for their Mac, based on Carbon, Cocoa, and even AppleScript.
