It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Define a
keyboard macro named char as the specified
sequence of commands.
char is usually a single character, or the
sequence #n, representing a function key
on the keyboard. Use a ! to create a macro for input mode. With no
arguments, list the currently defined macros.
