Synopsis

Change the default email client and web browser from Mail and Safari, respectively?

To select a different email client:

  1. Launch Mail (/Applications).

  2. Select MailPreferences from the menu bar.

  3. Click on the General icon in the toolbar.

  4. From the pop-up menu next to “Default Email Reader,” select a different email application, if you have another installed on your system.

To select a different web browser:

  1. Launch Safari (/Applications).

  2. Select SafariPreferences from the menu bar.

  3. Click on the General icon in the toolbar.

  4. From the pop-up menu next to “Default Web Browser,” select a different web browser, if you have another installed on your system.

Specify where Safari saves files downloaded from the Internet?
