So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

passwd [-iinfosystem] [-llocation] [username]
Sets a user password in the designated directory service.
Options
-
-i Specify the directory service to use, which may be
file,netinfo(the default),nis, oropendirectory.-
-l Depending on the directory service being used, it’s either a filename (defaults to
/etc/master.passwd), a NetInfo domain name or server/tag combo, a NIS domain name, or and Open Directory node name.-
username Designate whose password will be set. It defaults to that of the user running the command.
