One of the strangest things about using a joystick to control a robotics
project is that in certain circumstances, its greatest strength can also be its
biggest weakness. In many cases, the spring-loaded nature of the joystick is
helpful, especially in situations like controlling a rolling robot that is driving
around on wheels. As you let go of the joystick, the robot stops moving. When
