move on to solving for the length of our c variable.
Just like before, we can use the Pythagorean
theorem to find the value of c, which in this case is
the hypotenuse of our right triangle (Figure
9-7
).
After determining an equation to calculate
the value of our c variable, with our previously
determined equations, plus our known values
such as the lengths of our links and our target (x,
y, z) positions, we can move on to developing the
equations we will need to find the values of our
angular variables.
