I
n chapter 2, we built our first robotic
arm, made up of two links and two
joints. When we built this arm, we
discussed how even a simple two-link
design can be used in all sort of exciting
robotics projects. Though this is true, it’s
a design that’s not without its drawbacks,
and as we continue to design more
complicated robotic arms, with more
links, they will be able to accomplish
even more exciting tasks.
Here in chapter 4, we’re going to begin by
designing a variation of our first robotic arm.
In some ways, it’s a mirror of our two-link arm.
