7Chapter 1: The Foundation of Robotic Arms
Before we talk about inputs, however, we’ll need a little more vocab. We first
must define the difference between digital and analog capabilities. As you
might imagine, our digital pins are designed to work with digital signals. The
easiest way to discuss the basics of digital signals is to talk about binary.
Binary code, nothing but 1s and 0s, is at the very core of just about every
computing device on the planet. No matter what programming language
we use, before the code we write is run on a computer’s processor, it gets
converted into binary before it is processed.
