I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
As a metalanguage for describing structured information, XML requires an enabling technology in order to build interactive, data-driven applications. Scripting languages serve as great enabling technologies for XML, especially within the context of Web pages. The power of XML scripting languages in Web pages comes from their direct access to the logical structure of both HTML and XML documents. Scripting languages are also useful for Web-based XML development because they are relatively easy to learn and use, and are generally cross-platform.
