I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
P3P Basics
Privacy policies are an area of the Web that is begging for standardization. Users desperately need some way to determine how their personal information is going to be used before they provide it. The W3C realized this need and created the P3P to address it. The P3P lets users establish preferences that govern how information is shared with Web sites. The idea is that a Web site provides a privacy policy, and then the user assesses it and decides to what degree he wants to share information with the site. At least a portion of this process can be automated through an XML-based vocabulary that carefully spells out privacy policies.
