So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Group writeback is an optional feature.
The Group writeback functionality in Azure AD Connect offers add-on functionality to the Office 365 Group functionality in Azure AD for organizations that use both Active Directory and Azure AD in a Hybrid Exchange setup.
When Group writeback is enabled, Office 365 groups are written back to Active Directory as distribution groups. This way, people in your organization with mailboxes on on-premises Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 8 and newer versions of Exchange Server can send email messages to these groups and receive email messages from these groups.
