So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Seizing FSMO roles
When the domain controller that holds a FSMO role is no longer available and there is no prospect that the domain controller will ever be restored, then transferring the FSMO role is no longer an option. In this case, seizing the FSMO role is the best way to go.
