Using the Active Directory Administrative Center

To delete an OU, using the Active Directory Administrative Center, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Active Directory Administrative Center (dsac.exe).
  2. In the left navigation pane, switch to tree view.
  3. Expand the tree, if necessary, to locate the OU you want to delete.
  4. Select the OU.
  5. Right-click the OU and click Properties.
  6. Uncheck the Protected from Accidental Deletion checkbox.
  7. Click OK.
  1. Right-click the OU again. This time, click Delete. The Delete Confirmation window appears:
  1. Click Yes to confirm.
  2. If the OU contains child objects, click Yes again.
