How to do it...

To install the AD FS server role using the wizard, perform these steps:

1. Open Server Manager (servermanager.exe).
2. In the gray top bar of Server Manager, click Manage.
3. Select Add Roles and Features from the menu. The Add Roles and Features Wizard window appears.
4. On the Before You Begin screen, click Next >.
5. On the Select installation type screen, select Role-based or feature-based installation. Then, click Next >.
6. On the Select destination server screen, select the local Windows Server installation from the server pool list. Click Next > when you are done.
7. On the Select server roles screen, select the Active Directory Federation Services role from the list of available roles. Then, click Next >.
