Using Active Directory Sites and Services

To create an Active Directory site using Active Directory Sites and Services, perform these steps:

1. Open Active Directory Sites and Services (dssite.msc).
2. In the left navigation pane, select the Sites node.
3. Right-click the Sites node and click New Site….
4. The New Object – Site window appears.
5. Type a logical name for the Active Directory site in the Name: field.
6. When this is the first site you create, next to the Default-First-Site-Name, select the DEFAULTIPSITELINK link.
7. Click the OK button to create the Active Directory site. The Active Directory Domain Services popup window appears:
