Installing the Active Directory Domain Services role

Follow these steps to install the Active Directory Domain Services role:

1. Open Server Manager ( servermanager.exe).
2. In the gray top bar of Server Manager, click Manage.
3. Select Add Roles and Features from the menu.

4. The Before you begin screen appears, as shown in the following screenshot:

5. On the Before you begin screen, click Next >.
6. On the Select installation type screen, select Role-based or feature-based installation.
