So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
When you rename a user object, you change its Canonical Name (CN). When you perform this action using Active Directory Users and Computers (dsa.msc), a helpful popup helps you to change any other name-related attributes.
Even though you use the dsmove.exe command, when you rename a user object, the Protect from accidental deletion option does not come into effect, like when you move a user object. You will not need to disable this option first.
