The CRT iMac models combine a PowerPC G3 microprocessor and a 15-inch CRT display in one unit. The original Bondi Blue 233 MHz model, introduced in May 1998, was followed by models in different colors and with different features, and ranging in processor speed from 266 MHz to 700 MHz.

In addition to color and processor speed, CRT iMac models vary from each other in the type of memory modules used (SO-DIMM or DIMM), the cache, the size of the hard disk, the type of optical drive, ...
