So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Opening an iBook G4
Whether you are adding memory or an AirPort Extreme Card to an iBook G4, the first step is to remove the battery and lift up the keyboard.
1. | Place the computer on a clean, flat surface. |
2. | Shut down the computer and wait 30 minutes before continuing.
NOTE Warning: Always shut down your computer before opening it to avoid damaging its internal components or causing injury. After you shut down the computer, the internal components can be very hot. Let the computer cool down before continuing. |
3. | Disconnect the power cord and any other cables connected to the computer. |
4. | Put on the grounded ESD wrist strap. |
5. | Close the computer, turn it over, and locate the battery latch. Use a coin to turn the battery latch 1¼4-turn clockwise ... |
